Three Killed in Overnight Karachi Violence

At least three people were overnight killed in different firing and violence incidents in metropolis areas. Moments after the midnight, a man was injured in a firing incident near Disco Bakery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He succumbed to injuries while he was being rushed to hospital. The second firing incident occurred in Orangi Town where a person lost his life in Haryana Colony. The most recent incident was witnessed in Old Haji Camp where a man was shot to death. All three deceased could not be identified as yet.

The flame that broke out instantaneously at a manufacturer situated in SITE area of the town, could not be put out as yet sources revealed Friday. According to sources, the fire exploded at 5am today. Rangers Arrest more than 100 Suspects in Search Operation

Ranger performed a search opertion in different places of the city and caught more than 100 alleged individuals. According to the reports, Ranger performed function in Frontier Community, Metrovel, Afghan Community, Sohrab Goth places and performed home to home look for after ending entry and exit points of the places. Young Man Found Shot Dead

The body of an unidentified young man was found in the Manghopir area on Tuesday evening, police said. They said that the trussed-up body was found at a deserted spot at Northern Bypass and the police shifted it to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. The victim had been shot three times, they said, adding that three spent bullet casings of a 9mm pistol and one casing of a.30-bore pistol were found at the crime scene. Ranger Arrest 25 in Over night Search Opertaion

Ranger raided Jumma Goth place of Malir and caught 25 individuals here on Tuesday. According to resources, Ranger performed raid in Jumma Goth and while looking the homes, they curved up 25 individuals. During the operation, entry and exit points of the area were closed. Earlier, the rangers released raids in Macher coloney, close to Maripur Street and caught few suspects. The suspects are being interrogated. Man Killed and Two Bodies Found

A man was shot dead after a brief altercation over parking of a vehicle in Mahmoodabad area and two bodies were found in Lines Area and Haji Camp areas on Sunday, police said. Police said that Muhammad Luqman, 38, had had a heated argument with one Abdul Qadir when the latter parked the car outside his hardware shop near Gujjar Chowk close to Mahmoodabad furniture market. “In the course of arguments, Qadir pulled out a pistol and fired at Luqman,” said the area’s sub-divisional police officer, DSP Altaf Hussain. “He was hit in the chest and was rushed to the Jinnah hospital where he died. The University of Karachi has announced that the last date of submission of registration form of MA, double MA (private) and improvement of division is April 4. Students can get the forms from the bank counter at the Silver Jubilee gate and deposit there. The Karachi University Business School has announced the schedule of admissions to the MBA executive programme. The admission forms can be obtained from 1st April for Rs1,000 and deposited up to April 12. The final list will be issued on April 25 and classes will begin on May 4.—PPI

Cops and ranger have caught four terrorists of banned outfit from Manghopir and Nortehrn By-pass places and captured weaponry and explosives from their legal care. MWM to Field over 70 Candidates in Sindh

The Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen said on Friday that it would field candidates on over 70 constituencies of the provincial assembly and the National Assembly in Sindh to contest the May 11 general elections. The secretary-general of the MWM’s Karachi division, Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, told a press conference held at a local Imambargah that the MWM might also enter into seat adjustment agreements and forge an electoral alliance with likeminded parties, as a political strategy in this regard was being worked out. Six People Lost their lives in Acts of Violence

At least six people, including a girl, have been killed in acts of violence in different areas of the city. According to police, tortured dead bodies of a boy and a girl were recovered from Ilyas Goth, Liaqatabad C-1 Area. Both were shot in the head. Police shifted their bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. Another tortured dead body of a man was found near Nazimabad No 2. Two men were also killed in a firing incident at Usmanabad. In a separate incident of firing, a man was killed near Rizwia Society police station.

A police officer and a lady were murdered in unknown gunmen’s shooting at Ferozabad town of the town. According to cops, the gunmen targeted a police mobile at Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Tipu Sultan Chowk. The police officer was identified as Nazeer while lady as Nancy.
