Napa will present Urdu Adaptation of the Famous Play

The National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) will present an Urdu adaptation of the famous play, Art, at the Arts Council auditorium from May 4 to 13. This was announced by Napa head of theatre Rahat Kazmi on the academy premises on Monday. The play is directed by Samina Nazir and adapted by her and Tariq Siddiqi from Christopher Hampton’s English translation of the original (French) version by Yasmina Reza. The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) said on Monday that it would not receive any further examination form pertaining to its first phase of examinations commencing on May 7. A man allegedly involved in killing women and later cutting them up into pieces was arrested by police on Tuesday from Soldier Bazar area of the city. At least six dacoits looted a private bank in Karachi with inside help of a security guard. Police said the armed robbers barged into a private bank situated in PCHS Block 6 at Shahrah-e-Faisal and looted more than Rs9.5 million within 15 minutes. 5 People killed in Gun Attack in Karachi

Despite the presence of President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Rehman Malik, there was no let up in violent attacks that left another five people killed in Karachi on Monday.
