Two more Died by Dengue Fever in Karachi

The Sindh health department confirmed on Friday two more deaths caused by the dengue haemorrhagic fever. Both victims were 11-year-old boys and died at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) earlier this week. According to a source in AKUH, one of the boys had been admitted to the hospital on Nov 22 and died on Dec 4. The focal person of the dengue surveillance cell, Dr Shakil A. Mullick, said that deceased was a resident of the Patel Para area. Four people were gunned down in different parts of Karachi over the last 12 hours on Friday. According to reports, Sher Ali, 24 and Samiullah, 28, were shot and wounded in Bilal Colony in the remit of Quaidabad Police Station. They were shifted to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition, but they could not survive. Police said that deceased, who were neighbours, quarreled with each other over some unexplained reason.
